John Benjamin Davis
is a fiddler, banjoist, guitarist, and mandolinist whose music paints a vivid picture of his deep roots in the flourishing folk music scene of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The inspiration that John draws from his heroes (John Hartford, Andrew Marlin, Norman Blake, Nora Brown, and his dear friend and mentor Nicholas Edward Williams) is channeled right back into historical tune preservation - creating a waterfall effect that flows into his original songwriting.
Whether educating his audience about the history of a 200 year old fiddle tune or displaying the songwriting of his original work, John Benjamin Davis is sure to both entertain and educate his audience.
